Major Activities Scientific Manpower
  • Organization, management & monitoring the various technical activities within the Centre
  • Liaisoning with different Dept. of U.P. Govt., Govt. of India and other national Institutes.
  • Preparation of Technical Progress Reports of the Centre viz weekly/ Fortnightly/Monthly & Annual progress reports for submission to the Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of U.P.
  • Preparation of Technical Notes related to the Activities/Achievements of the Centre.
  • Preparation of Five Year Plan Document and Annual Plan Document of the Centre.
  • Organization of Lectures/Discussion Meet/Workshop/Seminar etc.
  • Provide assistance to higher authorities in conducting Review Meetings and preparation of Minutes of the Meetings.
  • Preparation of Material for Speeches of Hon’ble Governor of U.P., Chief Minister of U.P., Finance Minister of U.P. & Minister of Science & Technology, U.P. on different occasions.
  • Preparation of Brochure/Technical Booklet highlighting major activities and achievements of the Centre.
  • Review and evaluation of technical reports, research papers and project proposals prepared by different scientists of the Centre for submission to various agencies.
  • Organized and conduct the visits to the Centre by the dignitaries and other visitors from national Institutes, Universities & User Depts.
  • Transmission of information to the Dept. of Space, Govt. of India and other national Bodies.
  • Presentation of activities of the Centre at national forum/other suitable forum.
  • Provide assistance to Director of the Centre in the day-to-day activities.

Geosciences with proficiency in applying satellite remote sensing and GIS techniques for landslide management, natural resources management, geoenvironmental assessment, site suitability analysis for civil engineering projects and action plan formulation for sustainable development and also for disaster management at state level. Presently, Member NDMA Task Force for Formulation of National Landslide Risk Management Strategy.
