Training Division

Broad Objectives:

To organize one week training programme for the officials of different user departments, Govt. of U.P.
To organize one or two weeks training programme for the Lecturers & Research Scholars of different Universities/Colleges of Uttar Pradesh in order to create awareness about Remote Sensing, GIS & GPS Techniques & its Applications in Natural Resources Management.
To organize and conduct half day workshop at district level in the Chairmanship of respective District Magistrate.
To provide Training to the Scientist & Staff of the Centre under Capacity Building Programme.
To organize one day awareness programme for the students of different Universities/ Colleges.
To organize Summer Training/dissertation programme for the students of different Universities/ Colleges.

Achievement

Various training programme (one week/two week) have been organized on different themes for the officials of user departments of Govt. of U.P., Lecturers & Research Scholars of different Universities/Degree Colleges of U.P. since the year 2002. Till date 75 one day/109 one weeks/25 two weeks training programmes have been organized. In addition to this, more than 79 district level one day/half day user interaction workshops, have also been organized. 287 students of different universities & colleges have completed their dissertation work/summer training till now. Provided training/seminar/workshop to 71 Scientists/Staff of the Centre under the Capacity Building Programme.

The Centre is having fully furnished (A.C.) and well equipped Training Hostel which has been named as Shri Aryabhatt Training Hostel. It has 16 rooms, one lobby along with a fully equipped mess.

This training hostel is being used by the trainees who come from different cornor of the State for attending training programme, being organised by our Centre time to time. This training hostel facility is also being used by VIPs/official guests of the Centre when they come for official visit to our Centre.
